Heirloom Roses Card

Welcome fellow crafters and flower lovers!  I am so excited that you stopped by to share a part of your day with me.  This spring I was so inspired by my garden- my Knockout Roses went absolutely crazy!  Using Beautiful Blossom's Color Mood Board and the roses from my garden I created my NEW Heirloom Roses 5125J Digital Stamp Set available at my shop on Etsy.

These are the roses in my yard... awe inspiring!  I invite you to come along on my journey through the roses.

They are just beautiful!!

This is suggested as a 5"x7" card.

I started this card going in one direction and ended up going a totally different direction after browsing through my stash.  Confined to home after my surgery, I'm discovering "stash goodies" that I had forgotten about!

You will need my Heirloom Roses 5125J  Digital Stamp Set.  Size the Roses to           5-5/8"x3-1/2".  I placed in a 5"x7" rectangle.   Copy and Paste the roses and place in the lower right corner.  You may need to rotate a bit to get it to fit.  Print on Hammermill® White 100lb. Coverstock.

Color your images as desired.  Everyone has their own favorite medium, mine is COPIC® Markers.

I chose a pink, peach and cream color for my roses:

Pink - RV00,  RV custom (50%RV00-50% RV02),  RV02 and RV55

Peach- R20,  R21,  R22

Cream - E50, E51, E53

Leaves - YG61, YG63, YG67

Some of the supplies I found in my stash for this project are as follows:

FSC® -Pretty Posey  (I liked for it's lattice effect and embossing.)

Core'dinations®  - Sugar-n-Spice  &  Pink

Small Pearl Mesh

(3) Medium Pearl halves

3/4" Pink Ribbon  (about 8")

1/2" Lace

Sentiment Die (I chose "Hello")

Cut a 5"x7" rectangle of FSC® -Pretty Posey for your card front.

Adhere the 1/2" lace centered on the 3/4" ribbon.

Adhere the ribbon & lace combo at 1" from the bottom of the FSC® -Pretty Posey to allow for the sentiment.  Be sure to wrap the ends of the ribbon & lace around to the back and adhere.   LET DRY!

Fussy cut both colored images.  One is to remain intact.  One is to be cut into parts as shown.

Wanting to give this image a 3D effect like a fresh bouquet, adhere one layer of foam tape to the backside of the Pink Rose and two layers of foam tape to the Cream Rose.

Carefully align the images and adhere as shown.

Adhere the FSC® -Pretty Posey rectangle to the front panel of your 5"x7" cardbase using EZ Tear® Tape.

Adhere your 3-D colored image along the ribbon & lace, offset to the right as shown.  Remember you still need room for your sentiment.

Cut the mesh pearls apart and adhere one at each of the crosses on the section using Bearly Art® Precision Glue above the ribbon as shown.

Adhere the three (3) medium half Pearls in the lower right corner as shown.

Cut two (2) of your sentiments:  One (1) of the Core'dinations® - Sugar-n-Spice and One (1) of the Core'dinations® - Pink.

Adhere one of the sentiments slightly offset of the other using Beary Art® Precision Glue and adhere in the lower left of the card front as shown.

I like my cards to have that something a little special...  as an option I use some of the scraps, additional parts, etc. to decorate the backside of my cards.  I also add a name badge as shown.

I hope you enjoyed this journey through my rose garden.  I know it made me feel better having the opportunity to share this beautiful spring day with you.

I hope you will join us again at Beautiful Blossoms Challenge and share your delightful bouquets with us.

Hugs,

Jan
