Fall Sunshine Floral Card

Thank you for stopping by and sharing a part of your day with me.  Today I want to share with you this lovely autumn card using my new Fall Sunshine Floral Digi Set.  Spreading the beauty of Fall with a touch of sunshine to lift everyone's heart.  I made this beautiful image for a special friend who was in need of a little sunshine...  Using Beautiful Blossoms color pallet makes this card pop!   Come along for the journey of crafting this beauty.

The suggested card size is 5" x 7".

To start you will need my NEW set 5140J Fall Sunshine Floral.

Drew two (2) images, one 5" x 5" and one
3" x 3".   Off set them within a half-page frame.  I drew white rectangles to block out the overflow of the images to fit the images in a
7" x 4-1/8" frame.  Adjust to taste.   Copy and
paste.   Print on Hammermill® 100lb. White
Coverstock.

To keep your coloring in a straight line, apply a
strip of Washi®-tape along the printed image as shown.

Color as desired.  I chose to use Copic® markers with the Beautiful Blossoms color
scheme.  This is my favorite part.
The COPIC® Colors used:
Y00,  Y04,  Y13, Y15   -  Sunflower petals.
E30,  E33,   E35 -  Sunflower centers and used Copic Multi-liner Brown and x-Fine Sharpie to color some of the dots in the shadows.
Y06,  Y15,  R35,  R37,  R39  -  Daisy Mums.
YG61,  YG63,  YG69 and Copic Multi-liner Olive for the leaves and stems.

I later touched up to yellow in shadows with
Micron 05 - Yellow.  (Never use Micron® until
all Copic® work is done.)

(For those who do not like coloring I have pre-colored images available.)

Cut the 2nd set of images apart and set aside for later.

Carefully remove the washi-tape along the
image edge.

Align the "Lace" edge die and run through
Big Shot®.  Align the die again, secure and
run through the Big Shot® again.

Cut your edged image to 4-1/2" to 4-5/8" x 7" rectangle as shown.

Cut a 3/4" x 7" strip of Gold Metallic.  Set the
Sentiment, Dark Gray and Gold Metallic cardstock to the side for later.

Cut away 3/4" of the front flap on the 5" x 7" cardbase as shown.

Apply a 3/4" EZ-Tear® Tape to the interior outer edge of the cardbase.

Fussy cut the 2nd set of colored images as shown.

Apply foam tape to the backside of both the fussy cut images.   Set to the side.

This card has been fun in many ways, shopping through my stash.  Amazing
what we find...

Using Darice® Dotted Background Embossing
Folder, align with the edge of the image.
Hammer the embossing folder around the floral images for texture as shown.

Adhere the embossed image front panel to the cardbase using EZ-Tear® Tape.

Carefully align and adhere the fussy cut images to the front on the cardbase using the foam tape.   Trim the excess off along the card edges.

Using your sentiment die.   Cut one from the Dark Gray cardstock; and one from the Gold Metallic cardstock.

Using Bearly Art® Precision Glue, offset the two (2)
sentiments to give a little depth.   Let Dry.

Apply foam tape to the backside of the sentiment
as shown.

Apply the sentiment middle of the embossed
area between the two flower images as shown.

Apply the 3/4" x 7" Gold Metallic strip to the interior edge of the cardbase as shown.

Using about 30" of Gold Metallic twine, wrap it twice around the card spine and tie a bow.

I like to add an optional touch to my cards.

OPTIONAL:  Using scraps from making the
card, arrange and adhere to the backside of the card with your name plaque.
